Jay and Marie Marquez

Jay Marquez, a native of Chihuahua, Mexico, established residence in Midland, Texas in 1975. Jay’s economically-disadvantaged upbringing as a first-generation immigrant in the South side of Midland has provided him with a unique insight and empathy for local, struggling teens.

As a young adult, Jay acquired high-paying employment through strong work ethic and determination. However, his temptation and experiences with drugs and alcohol challenged him to reevaluate his perceptions of ‘success’ and redirect his life into the hands of God. Through this spiritual transformation and God’s grace, Jay pursued degrees and earned a Doctorate in Ministry, celebrated twenty-two years of marriage and three children with his wife, Marie, and has ministered to thousands of teens in the local community through Teen F.L.O.W.’s programs.
